Distillery Gatsios – Koukoudo NV – Mastika Liquor

Colourless here with a high viscosity. Intense nose here with herbal and vegetal notes. It seems the main flavour component is herbs. Also an underlining sweetness, giving a slight fruitiness with some hints of pear, citrus, I would say. The palate is sweet and viscous. Quite opulent here. With a high level of sweetness. Then we have a lot of those herbal aromas. There are some liquorice, anise seed, fennel. Which I would say are quite traditional for this style. Also a slight hint of freshness coming from those zesty and lemony notes. Long and sweet finish.
