Distillerie Peroni Maddalena – Liquore Limoncino del Garda NV

Obviously it’s a liquor, with a slightly green colour, green-yellow. Very high viscosity indicating a certain sweetness. The nose is fresh, offering some wild herbs, mint, citrus and lime. I think the aromas are rather pure and natural citrus, not really artificial citrus. Very unctuous on the structure, rounded, quite opulent, with a present sweetness well balanced by that slight citrus bitterness. Some hints of lime juice and citrus. It starts out quite sweet, but I think that bitterness takes over on the finish. The alcohol feels well-integrated as well. We normally drink this with ice, which changes the perception of it; but still a quite classic style, with pure and fresh lemon lime flavours and a rounded unctuous sweet texture.
