Medium-deep intense colour, ruby core, slightly more tawny towards rim, high density and viscosity. Pure nose showing off ripe fruit, high ripeness here with dark plum, cherry; some aromatic herbs like mint, sage. Good grip on the palate, still with a fairly high level of extract, quite youthful and biting tannins there. Sweet fruit and a slight hint of oak coming through on the palate, with touches of vanilla. It’s a persistent wine with good length, fine balance, I still find it slightly on the younger side, with present tannin; but doubtlessly a wine with the potential for further aging.
