Quite intense colour on the core, dark ruby, still with a hint of purple, appearing rather youthful. The nose is quite intense, rather modern with some new oak, some roasted notes; cassis and dark plum, dark currant, also some notes of herbs like sage and mint. The palate still appears rather youthful, it’s a quite bold, rich texture, full-bodied, packed with dark fruit, particularly cassis, dark plum. It brings my mind towards Cabernet and Merlot style, like Bordeaux, in terms of varieties. It also has some of that herbal spiciness, like sage and mint. Tannins are still young but not rough, they will easily integrate within the coming one to two years. Oak is pretty well concealed on the palate. Juicy and attractive fruit, good level of freshness, long vibrant finish. Very nice wine; I would just prefer to put away for another one to two years to round off the edges, and then it should be a nice drinking experience.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
