It is a spirit with a quite deep golden colour, some hints of amber in there. More maturity on the nose. Fine wood here, vanilla spices, some roasted notes. I think the youthful sugar cane juice is turning into caramel, fine caramel I would say. Elegant wood, some notes of tobacco, cedar wood. Good bite on the palate. I figure this is a rum with a quite high level of alcohol. It has more flavour intensity here. Nice structure, quite persistent here. With nutty and caramel notes on the finish. Good length here with a certain complexity going on in the finish. I think this is a rum that is starting to show a good level of complexity. I think this takes a step from being an ingredient in a drink to being preferably enjoyed as a digestive. It is offering a lot of complexity already. If you want to use it as an ingredient in a drink, it should be more upscale as this has some aging complexity and it will offer quite a lot of flavour complexity.
