So a spirit with a quite deep and golden colour, indicating a certain maturity with a slight hint of amber at the core. Very fine nose. Nutty with a wood sense of maturity here. Combining fine hazelnuts, with some candied fruit, fine caramel, slight hint of smoke almost like crème brûlée. I think this is actually appearing a bit more fruity. Well underlined by fine oak and a dash of vanilla. Excellent intensity on the palate, mature. There is certainly alcohol in there, but I think it keeps together well. You have all those nutty and spicy notes, I get a lot of pepperiness on the finish here. It starts out, you get actually a sweet mouthfeel, but I think the finish is nicely dry, giving a slightly mouth-watering sensation. It certainly got some maturity, fine complexity there, a lot of spiciness and fairly long, persistent finish. Really fine, mature and complex.
