Clément – Rhum Vieux Agricole Vieilli en fûts de Chêne 10 Years Old – Martinique

This is a spirit with a quite intense golden colour. There is a slight hint of amber in there. Fine nose, quite inviting here, with a fine aromatic intensity. It is showing off some notes of molasses with a bit more age turning into caramel, to some candied dried fruit, with some hint of hazelnut, some mascarpone, really fine wood and slight hint of smokiness as well. Really nice bite on the palate. This one feels quite strong in terms of alcohol. To me it is still quite drinkable as a digestive. As the alcohol is well developed into a lot of dried fruit, candy, fine caramel, cedar wood. Really long and nutty aftertaste. Certainly a rum I would prefer to drink as a digestive, not in a drink and with a good cigar.
