Very dense colour slightly blue-purple at the core with a rather high viscosity. Very attractive nose here. There is plenty of fruit, I would say quite opulent. This is underlined by some roasted oak. Hint of smokiness and vanilla. With ripe blackberry, cherry. Hint of mild spiciness like clove and black pepper. Very good bite on the palate. I think this is well-balanced because it has a quite high amount of tannin. But finely grainy, so nothing harsh or angular. Good acidity as well giving a lift to that opulent, dark fruit. Fine spiciness going on but predominantly that juicy dark ripe fruit. The oak is less noticeable on the palate as well. Really good grip and length on the finish. This is still a youthful wine without complexity that comes with age. I would say it is excellent potential I already take great pleasure in drinking this for that generosity and fruitiness, but it should develop really well. So a fine example.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
