Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby red core, some evolution on the rim. Fine nose, quite discreet I would say; there’s a slight hint of oak with wild berry fruit, some mineral notes. Classic structure here, quite dense fruit with nice wild berry fruit like freshly crushed berries; blackberry, raspberry. Tannins are still pronounced but they’re ripe, they probably need some more time to fully dissolve. There’s a hint of oak, but not very present as well. Good freshness, pretty long finish. It’s a wine I would still call in a youthful phase, with the need for another one to two years in the cellar to open up a little bit, and from then on it should evolve nicely over 7-8 years. Stylish traditional style, without too much oak, with elegant fruit.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
