Quite deep ruby with a purple hue. Fine nose, good purity and intensity with some roasted wood, espresso and a mix of red and dark berries. Good grip on the palate, fairly rounded already with grainy tannin, a fine toastiness, fresh acidity and nicely ripe black currant and plum flavours. Rather persistent finish with a mild spiciness and some oak, rather attractive already but doubtlessly good ageing potential.
