Quite dense core here, dark ruby. Quite restrained nose at first; I would talk about a rather traditional style here, I get some gamey notes, leather, spices. Then quite ripe fruit here with plum, crushed berries, and a slight hint of wood. Palate is dense with a tannic grip; still quite youthful in terms of texture, the tannins are still dominating the palate. Underneath that we have quite soft red fruit like plum, red currants, some herbal notes, leather and dry spices. Persistent on the palate, keeps lingering for a while, still with a quite elevated acidity I would say. A wine that feels molded in this traditional style, without any great influence of oak; in my mind it still should deserve some time to shed those tannins.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
