Château Lynsolence 2008 Red

France Bordeaux
Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Red

Red wine with a very dense almost opaque core. High ripeness on the nose, a plethora of ripe dark berries, blackberry, plum. A slight hint of volatile acidity, not in a disturbing way but I think it’s indicating a very high ripeness; but really dominated by fruit, and no evident oak. Very concentrated on the palate, very modern style I would say with a high density; but good extraction here, we have very grainy tannin, they don’t appear hard in any way. Then layers of dark spicy fruit, of blackberry, juicy dark plum. Finely integrated oak, not really noticeable on the nose and finely tuned on the palate as well. Very good grip and very long finish, with spicy dark fruit. It’s certainly a wine that I would call drinkable now if you like this powerful rich and fruity style with a nice and juicy big steak; however it’s still in a youthful stage, it is as I said modern, well-rounded in a plush and opulent style, but it would certainly benefit from half an hour in a decanter to open up a bit more. A very ambitious and pretty wine.
