Medium deep ruby-red colour. The nose is still appearing young, youthful. There is hints of rather red fruity notes here; some plum, some herbal notes, still a bit raw. Not a lot of evolution or complexity yet. Palate is on the lighter side. Light toward medium weight. Still with a quite youthful backbone there of firm tannin, with high acidity. Fruit is still a bit youthful, like cranberries, red berries, with some herbal notes. Still doesn’t have really have any flesh. It has pretty good length. Good purity of fruit, with that herbal spiciness. However, I just think it still needs some more time to open up. So a real through decantation, or a few more years in the cellar to gain a bit more flesh.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
