Red wine with a moderately deep colour here. I can see though it so it is quite a ruby-red nuance. Smokey notes at first, quite modern style here with roasted oak, hint of smoke, spicy notes and sweet red fruit. Fresh berries still quite youthful. The palate has medium weight, a bit on the lighter side. I think it is well made for that style, because it is quite rounded. There is not a lot of tannin, so it is not harsh or it doesn’t really have any hard edges. Rather lush sweet fruit, plum, crushed berries. Fair amount of oak, but I think it keeps well. It doesn’t really dominate too much, I just get some nicely roasted notes on the finish, hint of vanilla. Medium to long finish. Moderate weight, but as I said quite push and round in terms of fruit. It should offer a nice drinking within the near future.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
