White wine with a quite pale youthful colour, a slight hint of green straw colour. Very generous nose, there’s a hint of oak, aging in oak; quite ripe fruit, there’s hints of citrus, of pear, pineapple, yellow fruity with those toasted slightly nutty notes, a hint of vanilla as well. On the palate it’s a quite lush and broad texture. It’s rather a style which is combining ripe fruit, the oak is rather integrated on the palate we still get some of those toasted notes. There’s a hint of zesty bitterness, I mean like bitter citrus not bitter in a negative way but something that gives structure to the wine. It has a rounded medium-high acidity; it’s rather a white wine from a hotter climate that gets some of those herbal notes like fennel, licorice. Generous and broad, quite good grip, rather long finish, you feel there’s ripeness in there, it’s quite ripe; but alcohol is finely integrated. So rather long finish, opulent, warm and rich style.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
