Dense almost opaque colour. Intense, ripe and bold nose exuding new oak, roasted coffee, ripe dark fruit, cassis, blackberry and plum. Very dense and concentrated palate, still dominated by oak flavours but finely tuned with plenty of ripe tannin, crunchy dark fruit and a very long meaty finish. Needs some more time for the oak to settle, should age very well.
