Colour has medium-high intensity, ruby-red still with a little hint of purple, but it appears starting to lose some of that colour now. Nose is quite intense, with some new oak here. Then some spicy, peppery notes. Fruit is rather a combination of red and dark fruit, but with a quite high ripeness. So the nose is fairly sweet. Good grip on the palate. Quite full here, structure till appearing youthful, with quite high levels of extract. Pronounced tannin, not harsh but youthful and present. But very nice fruit here. More red fruit on the palate, with almost a hint of confiture, some raspberry, dark plum. Quite delicious actually with a fine spiciness. Quite powerful and persistent. So I deem this a really fine wine, however, it still appears a bit youthful and a bit tight on the finish. So it should be put back in the cellar for another one to two years and from then on it should develop nicely for ten plus years.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
