Medium deep ruby red core, slightly tawny towards the rim, looks like it has some evolution. Discrete nose, giving off some spicy notes. Sweet red berry fruit, ginger, red cherry. A bit closed at first, it needs a bit of air to open up. Quite soft and supple texture, medium weight, youthful acidity. A wine with good proportions, I just find it a bit closed on the palate and the aftertaste. It has a fairly long finish, but it appears a bit young and restrained now, like a lot of great wines do. This is something I’d really like to tuck away in the cellar for 2-3 years, and then come back and see how it works.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
