Bright dark purple colour. Pure nose of ripe dark cassis, blackberry, cherry with fine oak and tobacco underneath. The palate is dense with plenty of weight, grainy tannin, a fresh acidity giving lift, opulent dark fruit with fine spice and some toast hints leading to a long and muscular finish.
