Red wine with a very youthful appearance here, dark inky core. Fresh nose here, quite ripe, sweet fruit, almost a hint of confiture; with dark plum, red berries, no evident oak, and a slight herbal spiciness. Good grip on the palate here, it’s a medium weight with youthful tannin, still quite present on the aftertaste. Well-kept acidity. I would say a rather classic style here with a good emphasis on fruit, with some notes of pepper and fresh herbs. There’s a hint of smokiness coming through as well, indicating some oak. Medium towards long in terms of persistence, keeps lingering. Well-balanced in a rather classic style. I would rather prefer it in the cellar for another few years, it’s still a bit tight on the finish but with all the parts in place it should just need another one to two years to open up.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
