White Chenin Blanc
Bright with a light golden colour. Intense and generous nose. Displaying a certain hint of sweetness in the direction of honey. Then there is quite sweet fruit on the nose, in the direction of apple, but not green apple rather baked apple, apple pie or quince. With a slight spiciness like cinnamon, vanilla and then a certain nuttiness as well like chopped almond and hazelnut. Good bite on the palate. I think this is a fine degree of oak. I didn’t pick up any oak on the nose, but there is a certain presence on the palate. Really bright acidity, still very youthful and mouth-watering. Nicely layered with that nutty fruit, that baked apple. Slight mineral sensation and really long finish. Still youthful but yet with a certain degree of complexity and good potential for development.
