Château Clarke Baron Edmond De Rothschild – 2012 – Listrac

Red wine with a quite dense core here, dark ruby with some purple hints. Fresh nose, still youthful, dominated by fruit; sweet red berries, plum, slight hints of vanilla and spices. The palate has a quite classic structure I would say, with medium weight, young but rounded tannin, and quite high acidity. Classic expression here with attractive red fruit. No oak is really noticeable on the palate, just a slightly fine spiciness and a quite long finish. A wine that should open up within the coming year or so. Well-crafted in a classic style.
