Medium- deep ruby-red, with a youthful purple hue. Fine nose, good purity of fruit. Combining red and dark berries, with cassis and plum. There is a fine oakiness in the background. Gentle hint of spice and vanilla. Medium weight on the palate. Still quite youthful texture. A bit austere with a high presence of tannin and dry extract. None of the less there is juicy and attractive fruit. Redcurrant and plum. With slight herbal spiciness, some bay leaf and sage. Finely integrated oak. There is a hint of toastiness. Fairly long finish. Certainly a wine that should deserve another one to two years in the cellar to open up a little more. From then on it should continue to drink well and gain more complexity and roundness. I find it just needs some more time.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
