Medium-deep colour, it has a slight evolution. So medium deep ruby-red nuance, getting slightly lighter towards the rim. Generous nose displaying quite dark fruity characters; plum, cherry, some cassis. There is also some aged aromas, like leather, tobacco and spice box. A gentle hint of oak. Good grip on the palate, quite full-bodied. Still with quite a lot of extract. Ripe but quite a lot of tannin. There is juicy red fruit, quite good ripeness. Mild spiciness, vanilla, pepper. Discreet hint of oak. Well-balanced by a fresh acidity. Quite long and grippy finish. A rather structured wine that is offering nice and delicious fruit. Preferably I would still give it a short time in the cellar, just for that slight tannic bite to round off a little bit, but a fine effort.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
