Very dense core here, black-purple losing a little bit of colour towards the rim. Pure, quite intense. With ripe fruit more on the dark fruity side; like dark plum, some blackberry. A gentle hint of oak. I would say ripe, but still more in a classic style. Rather full-bodied here, with a high extract. Quite pronounced tannins at present. Slightly drying on the palate. The fruit is still quite present and particularly on the finish. I get more of this dark chocolate, dark plum, crushed berry flavours. So quite ripe yet with a slightly pronounced tannic sensation right now. Delicious fruit there, so chocolate coated dark fruit. Discreet oak and a long warm finish. A wine I still would like to put back for just one or two more years in the cellar or give a through decantation before drinking it. A good result that should drink pretty well in the near future.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
