Red wine with a very deep colour here, still quite opaque at the core, more ruby towards the rim. Quite intense nose here, showing off a lot of dark fruit like plum and blackberry. Some fine spices, a little hint of oak. The fruit is still quite youthful, but there is a slight hint of spiciness shining through as well, a touch of leather. Palate has a good bite, good concentration here, and nice and juicy fruit; dark plum, blackberry flavour, backed up by a very vital freshness, with a good level of acidity, well aligned with the tannic structure. You still feel that slight hint on the finish, but quite polished in terms of tannin. Rather long on the finish as well showing off some fine spices, tobacco leather. Keeps lingering for a good while. Nice example there, still up front juicy fruit, but starting to open up and displaying a little bit of complexity on the finish. So a wine that should certainly continue to develop, but easily could be enjoyed today.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
