Moderate colour intensity here, with a ruby-red nuance, slightly watery rim. Pure nose, with some floral hints. Moderate ripeness and more on the red fruity side with wild berry fruit, red plum. Slight hint of oak and some spicy notes; like ginger, pepper. Palate has a bit more than medium weight. Quite a high extract, but not harsh in any way. The tannins are present but well balanced. Still just a bit on the youthful side, in terms of taste. Attractive sweet, fruit there, with crushed red berry fruit, plum. There are some herbal notes, some dried spices like white pepper as well. Medium towards long finish. So I would conclude it is a classic style, pure and well made. Still youthful would certainly benefit from further aging, or twenty to thirty minutes in the decanter before serving today.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
