Dark intense youthful colour, rather black-purple centre. Discrete nose at first, some gentle hints of wood, vanilla; dark fruit like plum, cassis, a whiff of leather. Nice palate, it has a quite full structure, with a good grip, dense fruity core. Fine extraction here, we have a good deal of tannins but they’re already quite grainy, well-integrated. We get some hints of bitter chocolate there. Fine wood adding just a touch of vanilla. Well-balanced freshness. Long finish, good density on the finish. Slight tannic presence, but doubtlessly a wine that will be very readily drinkable over the next one to two years. Good.
