Chapelle de Novilis – Néus Rosé 2014 Rosé

France Languedoc/Roussillon
Coteaux d’Ensérune

Rosé

Rosé wine with a very pale rosé colour, a slight tinge of copper. Medium intense nose, quite youthful as it should be. Pure aromas here, we get first of all citrus like pink grapefruit, some notes of pear, and then of course there’s always a slight hint of those red berries, making it a rosé rather than a white. Some raspberry notes as well; but clean fresh and young. Palate is on the lighter side, clean and crisp on the palate, well-preserved acidity, attractive fruit with some of that citrus-infused red fruit. Rather salivating. This feels like a style with a quite brief skin contact, because the bitterness is just very light, gives the palate a lift. Fresh and clean, with a medium towards long aftertaste.
