Medium deep colour here, medium straw with a slight hint of green, brilliant. The bubbles are small but quite lively. The nose starts out quite discreetly, pure style, no presence of oak here, rather Chardonnay-driven with hints of citrus, some green apple, some notes of almond, a whiff of hazelnut as well. Still in a fairly youthful stage, not really a lot of aged complexity or hints of lees contact. Good grip on the palate, quite dry; no sensation of sweetness on the palate. It’s a vibrant acidity as well, quite nice acidity with a nice creaminess on the mid-palate. I would call this rather a light towards medium bodied style, more in a pure fresh Chardonnay style. It has a certain length, it keeps lingering, so medium towards long finish I would say. It’s well-balanced, still a bit on the young side so it’s probably something that could develop, but it drinks pretty well right now. Nicely made.
