Champagne R. Dumont & Fils – Intense NV – Extra Brut

Medium to deep straw colour with a pink hue almost like a light rosé with medium intense bubbles. Some new oak on the nose, ripe fruit like pear, plum, red berries, hazelnut, fresh butter and some pastry notes. Very good grip on the palate, full bodied with an oaky presence, some roasted flavours, crushed nuts, darker fruit towards Pinot noir, yet a fresh acidity, a creamy backbone and a long powerful finish. Rich, intense and vinous, some oaky presence but balanced.
