It is a sparkling wine, with a quite youthful mousse, but rather fine bubbles. Colour is quite dark here with a light towards medium golden nuance. Intense nose here; very spicy, fine sweet spices; like clove, cinnamon and vanilla. Then there is a lot of ripe fruit here, almost like windfall, like a really ripe pear, plum. I would say rather in my mind a more Pinot Noir, Pinot style. Some red berry fruit as well. It is certainly showing a certain level of maturity. Clearly a full-bodied style, we have a slightly phenolic presence. Once again indicating more of the red skin grapes; with those spicy notes, those fine spices, with dark ample fruit. The mousse is finely integrated, the acidity as well, I would say rather mild. It still has a good freshness. It feels like this one has more maturity, it is all finely integrated. Long, pretty, opulent finish. So a well-balanced champagne, in a richer full body style. Good drinkability today, I would say.
