Wine with a quite deep colour, medium towards deep golden. Still with intense, but quite fine bubbles. Intense nose here, spicy, with sweet spices; like clove, saffron, cardamom, then with butter, almond, and ripe yellow fruit. Good gripe on the palate; obviously a Champagne with a more full body style, with high level of ripeness. It does not have oxidation, but the fruit is really ripe; like windfall, ripe pear, nutty and almond notes. Acidity is quite well integrated today, it offers a lot of freshness, but it is nicely rounded off. So is the creaminess and the mousse. It is really harmonious on the palate, in I would say quite full body, vinous, small grower style. I feel more Pinot in terms of the fruitiness, but it is probably a classic blend. However with preponderance of Pinot Noir with that ripe fruitiness, good depth, with a certain complexity and quite a long finish.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
