It is a sparkling wine with a quite vivid mousse. Colour is light golden, I would say, there some colour intensity though. Needs some air to open up. Aromatically, it is a good purity here, and we have a fair deal of ripeness. I get more vibes from Pinot Noir in this case; some red berry fruit, like raspberry, with ripe pear, and some of the nutty notes, like hazelnut, almond. It is quite a full body style this one, really mouth filling, quite anxious in terms of texture with ripe fruit. Once again I would opt for more this Pinot Noir, dominance of Pinot Noir, due to that slightly red fruity character. We also do have a slight hint of some tannin, not tannin per se. I think it is a good combination here, those ripe red berries well integrated with a balanced acidity. Giving a good freshness on the palate there. Mouth-watering with a quite fine mousse. Good persistence here, it really keeps lingering for a while. I think well balanced in that full body style. Good length, good balance, good freshness, a certain maturity there as well. So a champagne with a certain amount of complexity, and perfectly enjoyable today.
