Champagne Collet – Collection Privée NV – Dry Rosé

Wine with a quite fine, quite tiny bubbles, quite fine mousse. The colour is medium intense rosé with a slight orange or onion skin tinge. Expressive and generous nose, offering ripe fruit here, mostly red berries, some plum, some creamy notes like butter and vanilla. Generous palate here, quite good weight, between medium towards full. Slight hint of sweetness is marked there. Not a sweet Champagne, but quite ripe and rounded, with a creamy mousse. Slight hint of sugar. Creamy mid-palate there. That sweetness is underlined by a quite vibrant and fresh acidity. It has a medium towards long finish, still with a slight presence of that sweetness, that will probably integrate in the coming years. This is a champagne you put in back in your cellar.
