Medium intense straw colour, still with a slightly green tinge, youthful. With also a quite youthful mousse. Quite ripe nose. Displaying more notes of ripe pear, plum and also some red berry notes and a hint of spice like pain d’épice. Palate is quite full-bodied, yet on the drier side. Not too high in terms of dosage. There is a slight phenolic presence there. Not in a negative way, not like bitterness, but perhaps a high percentage of ripe, red grape varieties, a high portion of Pinot. Which is also marked by those spicy notes like pain d’épice, then really ripe pear, quince. Quite long finish with a well-integrated creaminess and a balanced acidity.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
