Medium to deep ruby colour with some evolution on the rim. The nose is layered yet with a slight preponderance of new oak with tobacco leaf, dark plum, wild berries and mild spices. Good grip on the palate, more fruit shining through there with crushed plum, tobacco and fine spicy notes, grainy tannin, rather rounded texture, Pomerol-like with both ripeness and freshness, good grip and length. Fine-tuned, just a slight dominance of oak today but should develop well.
