Medium to deep ruby-red colour. Fresh nose. A lot of primary fruit there, sweet red berries, plum, raspberry. Gentle herbal spiciness, but ripe herbs such as mint, sage, with some peppery notes. Slight hint of wood in the background. Quite discreet. I also like those floral components like violet. Palate has quite good weight, good density of fruit. Polished in terms of extract. So youthful, but quite fine tannins. Nice level of acidity as well, adding a lot of freshness on the palate. Also, the alcohol seems to be fairly moderate. There is a slight hint of wood showing up on the finish, but not in an obtrusive way. So elegant and juicy, mainly red fruit, some hint of plum. A hint of ginger and clove on the finish. Quite persistent finish. An attractive wine with good drinkability right now, yet with the potential to develop for many years.
