Red wine with very dark and inky core here, slightly lighter towards the rim showing a little bit of age. Quite intense nose, it is also starting to loosen up a bit I would say, displaying some more developed characters. There is a clear presence of oak here. I get some roasted notes, a lot of vanilla and dried spices. The fruit is really sweet in terms of almost like some baked fruit, some plum, some comfiture or blackberry jam. Also has a slight hint of herbal spices like bay leaf and almost like dill. Palate is quite weighty, good density of fruit here. And extraction I would say is rather on the medium level. Good backbone of tannin there, but quite well dissipated this stage. Still however adding a nice backbone. I think the acidity is balanced as well because this is obviously a ripe style, with plenty of fruit and fairly higher alcohol. I think it is offering good drinkability now, attractive and rather a mix of dark and red berries. Then some of that aromatic herbs on the finish, adding a nice touch of freshness and spiciness. It is a rather long finish. So a wine that is drinking really well now, still with a potential to go on for quite a few years.
