Red wine with a quite high colour intensity here, dark ruby-red core. Intense nose displaying rather dark, ripe fruit, notes of cassis, dark plum, with a certain aromatic spiciness like sage, anise seed. A hint of new oak and leather, leaning in the Bordeaux direction stylistically. The palate is dense, quite ridged structure. The tannins are pronounced and youthful, but not harsh. It is just, still quite youthful. Nice and juicy dark fruit with those cassis and plum flavours, with some spicy notes. Quite a high acidity as well, also appearing a bit youthful, but overall in balance with a good length fine integration of oak. I would say a high-quality wine with a good potential for further cellaring. I would prefer to put it back for two to four years for to open up and gain some more roundness particularly.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
