Youthful colour here, very intense core, almost opaque; it’s showing more evolution on the rim here with a slightly lighter ruby nuance and coloured legs. Intense nose here, very perfumed, with notes of violet; really dark fruit here, juicy dark blackberry, dark cherry, some spicy notes. The palate is quite lush, it’s full, it has a good density of fruit, but very soft extract here. Not a lot of tannin to talk about, rather this plush rounded plum, blackberry fruit, with an underlying spiciness here; sweet spices reminiscent of gingerbread, clove, ginger. There’s a slight sensation of sweetness on the palate as well; it’s still a dry wine but it’s quite ripe so it’s giving that impression. Overall I think it’s a well-made wine, with good richness, ripeness, rounded texture, opulent dark fruit, and a fairly long soft finish.
