Dark ruby red colour with some age on the rim. Intense nose with some new oak, vanilla, clove, pepper and darker fruit like blackberry and cherry. The palate has good density and weight, yet with moderate extract, fine tannin, a layered spiciness, tobacco, liquorice and dark berry fruit. Long and peppery finish, good freshness and balance, digest and fine to drink already today.
