Very inky and intense colour. The nose has great purity and intensity displaying layers of ripe fruit like plum, blackberry, cassis, fine oak and a sweet spiciness of clove and ginger. The palate has an amazing concentration but very soft extraction with powdery tannin, notes of cocoa bean, layers of dark fruit, certainly ripe and warm but with a good sense of freshness. Very long and intense, certainly a very finely crafted and polished wine with tremendous power, elegance and weight built for long ageing.
