Bodega NQN – Malma Finca La Papay 2014 – Patagonia

Red wine with a quite light colour here, garnet red with a slightly rustic rim. Quite discreet on the nose at first, so lower level of ripeness here, some crushed red berries, some red plum and very discreet oak. The palate is on the lighter side, with a soft texture here. Soft texture and medium towards high acidity. The fruitiness is still youthful. I think this is a wine that needs some time to gain a bit more roundness and expression here. I get some raspberry, red cherry notes on the taste. Medium long finish. Still youthful with, I would say, a need for further cellaring to gain some more dimensions and complexity.
