Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby-red colour. Still quite dense at the core, but lighter slightly more aged red towards garnet. Medium intense nose here, displaying a certain maturity, I get some earthy notes. Slight hint of smoke. In terms of fruit, I feel more like a moderate ripeness with a mix of red and dark berries, red currant, some aromatic herbs, bay leaf. A gentle hint of oak, just a slight touch of vanilla and wood. The palate I would say, quite classic style with medium weight. We have a presence of tannin, but I think they are quite integrated at this stage. They are still adding freshness. Acidity is quite marked as well. So it feels more moderate in terms of ripeness, with an attractive mix there of red currant, cherry, plum, with a dash of that pepper, herbal spiciness. Well integrated oak on the palate. Good balance, drinkability today. Still with a certain potential for evolution, but I would happily decant it and drink it already today. So a wine to enjoy.
