Belasco de Baquedano – Swinto 2012 – Mendoza

Very inky colour, dark purple. Pure nose. Quite intense with high ripeness. Some floral notes, violet, dark plum and blackberry. Very dense palate. High concentration, high ripeness with inky dark fruit. Notes of cassis, plum, blackberry with a slight herbal spiciness on the finish, like mint. No noticeable oak really. Still youthful and tight, but with a balanced tannin. Quite mild acidity and a medium towards long finish. A wine that has good potential, good structure and should preferably be aged a few more years in my mind.
