Light to medium deep colour, ruby-red. Attractive nose. Good purity of fruit here. Mainly red cherry with red berries. There is a slight hint of spiciness as well. Some almond, pepper and very discreet wood. Good bite on the palate here. It is rather medium weight but with a high level of extract. So both acidity and tannin is quite high, but well-integrated, I would say. It leaves the palate fresh and clean. Nice fruitiness as well, mainly red cherry flavours and a slight hint of nuttiness like fresh almond. Medium towards long finish, rather lingering on the finish. In terms of drinkability, I think this could easily be approached today, particularly with food, with a rich meal it should really do the job nicely. It does have the structure to go on for a least another five to seven years.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
