Inky dark purple core starting to lose some colour on the rim. A slight maturity on the nose, balsamic notes, smoke, dried fruit, liquorice, pepper and sweet spices. Dense palate starting to soften, still with rather ample tannin and extract, and a bold, dense and lingering finish. A big wine starting to open and display some complexity.
