Quite dark colour, inky core here with a ruby-red rim. The nose gives more of a traditional feeling here. There are some presence of balsamic notes, herbal spiciness. Combination of dark fruit, such as dark plum, dark cherry. The palate has a bit more than medium weight, medium towards full. It is actually quite expansive on the palate. Offering a lot of dark fruitiness. I like that spiciness, some of those wild herbs, together with liquorice and dark cherry. It has quite a lot of tannin, but I think that despite its youth. It is still offering a good level of drinkability. That texture should certainly soften with more ageing. Good length as well. Really keeps lingering. Well-integrated oak as well. A lot of character and good spiciness. I would certainly decant this for a half an hour before drink it with an enormous piece of meat, but good potential.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
