Quite youthful colour, medium-deep ruby-red, still with a hint of purple. Intense nose. Quite modern here with ripe dark fruit. Fine hints of dark plum, cassis, leather and blackberry. With a gentle hint of roasted oak in the background, some toastiness. Good grip on the palate here. Good density and I like the level of extraction. It does have really a wealth of dark ripe fruit. There is quite a lot of tannin, but ripe and grainy. I think this is just about to open up, I would say. I would thoroughly enjoy it today. On the finish, which is quite long, elegant dark fruit. There is also a slight complexity emerging with hints of black truffle, wet earth, some spicy notes. Still mostly on that fruity side. Well-integrated oak as well. Should have the potential for up to ten years in a good cellar, but quite delicious today.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
